Ontario Students – Admission Requirements
At Royal Ontario Academy, students can choose to enroll as either part-time or full-time students, depending on their educational goals. Below are the details for both types of enrollments:
Part-Time Students
Part-time students at Royal Ontario Academy include:
- Students who are registered at another school and are not seeking Royal Ontario Academy to issue their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
- Students wishing to take up to several courses through Royal Ontario Academy while attending another school full-time, either in Ontario or abroad.
- Students looking to upgrade course marks through Royal Ontario Academy, whether they are still in school or have already graduated.
Registering as a Part-Time Student
Part-time students can start by taking one or several courses and, if their plans change, they can decide to become full time students later. If you’re already enrolled and are considering transitioning to full-time status, please arrange a virtual meeting with our Principal to understand the process.
Full-Time Students
Full-time students at Royal Ontario Academy must meet the following criteria:
- You plan to complete all remaining high school requirements and earn your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) through Royal Ontario Academy.
- You are not currently enrolled in an Ontario day school or you plan to withdraw from your current school to complete your studies with Royal Ontario Academy.
- You have completed, or intend to complete, at least 3 credits in a single grade year through Royal Ontario Academy.
Registering as a Full-Time Student
If you wish to enroll as a full-time student and complete your OSSD through Royal Ontario Academy, please contact our office to begin the registration process and learn more about the requirements for full-time enrollment.
