At Royal Ontario Academy, we provide flexible online learning opportunities for mature students looking to complete their high school education, upgrade marks, or pursue post-secondary studies. Whether you’re aiming to earn your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or simply complete the credits you need, our courses are designed to fit into your busy schedule.
Am I a Mature Student?
You are considered a mature student if:
- You are not currently enrolled in a high school; and
- You have not attended high school for at least one year since turning 18.
Continuing Your High School Education as a Mature Student
Earning high school credits through traditional adult learning centers can be time-consuming and inconvenient for mature students with work or family commitments. At Royal Ontario Academy, our asynchronous online learning format allows you to continue your education without disrupting your life. You can watch lessons and complete coursework anytime—day or night—at your own pace.
Can I Graduate Through Royal Ontario Academy?
Yes! Mature students who have not yet earned their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) can graduate through Royal Ontario Academy once all OSSD requirements are met. If you’re interested in graduating, please contact us with a copy of your most recent academic transcripts and proof of age. Our Principal will help assess your current academic standing and guide you through the necessary steps to graduation.
Unsure About Prerequisite Requirements?
If you’re not sure whether you meet the prerequisites for your chosen course, email info@royalontarioacademy.com with your most recent academic transcripts and proof of age. Our Principal will assess your previously earned credits and either pre-approve your prerequisites or help you map out the courses you need to reach your goals.
